Parents typically bring their baby to a Cranio-Sacral therapist when there are issues with feeding, sleeping, excess crying, bonding or specific issues such as colic, reflux, torticollis or allergies. Whether the birth was straight-forward or not, quick or lengthy, the birth process can subject the baby to varying degrees of compression, rotational forces and shock.
I would recommend bringing your baby as soon after the birth as possible.
What will happen during a treatment?
During your first visit, I will take a case history to understand why you have brought your baby and create a comfortable and safe space for you both. You may wish to cuddle your baby, breast or bottle feed or lie your baby comfortably on the couch or floor.
With permission, I will gently place their hands on different parts of your babies body and head and engage with your babies whole system, including the physical, emotional, fluidic and energetic layers and in particular the autonomic nervous system. Whatever your reason for bringing your baby, I will tune into the birth process to release any restrictions, compressions, shock and tension.
It is not unusual for me to work with both parents and baby during the treatment, due to the energetic and complex bond between parents and baby.
Investment £80 per 1 hour session and £70 per 40 min follow up.
I also now offer home visits for new borns or very young babies (where travelling to my clinic would be too difficult) in my local area Teddington, Hampton Wick and Hampton Hill on selected Fridays. Investment £100 per 1 hour session.
