How will I feel afterwards?

Sleep

You may feel more tired after your session, especially the first few treatments. Please just follow your body and take naps after your sessions or allow yourself earlier nights if you are feeling any fatigue. As your system begins to heal your fatigue should subside.

Healing reactions

Sometimes after your first few sessions, symptoms may appear to temporarily worsen. This is perfectly normal and just a sign your system is adusting and re-balancing. Take painkillers if needed.

Emotions

You may experience different emotions or memories coming up either during a session or for the days that follow. Try to sit with any emotions that may arise and allow them to flow through your system as they begin to soften and disburse. Journalling can be helpful.


What should you expect during a treatment?

Initially I will take a detailed case history to assess your reasons for coming and to better understand your needs. You will then be asked to lie face-up on a comfortable treatment couch fully clothed with shoes removed and a blanket placed over your body.

I will gently place my hands on different parts of your body. You may experience sensations such as changes in body temperature, tingling sensations, a sense of your body softening or releasing, different emotions or memories may surface or you may just simply experience a feeling of deep inner peace and calm. There is no correct way to feel as the treatment is unique to you.

What happens in a treatment?

During your treatment, I will be working to re-balance whole system including the physical, emotional, fluid and energetic layers and in particular, the autonomic nervous system.
